This will forever be one of my favourite scenes in GOT. Truly incredible writing, I was shook after first time watching!

What'll really blow your mind is that someone predicted that he was saying "Hold the door" back in 2008. https://asoiaf.westeros.org/index.php?/topic/26325-what-does-hodor-mean/page/2/#comment-1236249

I don't care if it makes sense- hold the door is an amazing scene.

great empathetic reaction, as always Stef! anyway, as for anime, i suggest you start with "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End". i'm definitely sure you'll love it :)

We all went through this at one point. To help cheer you up, the actor who plays Hodor is a DJ.
He had a tour or set called Rave of thrones and hold the decks haha
Also if you’re getting into anime, Attack on Titan is a must. It’s super chill, nothing bad happens 😏

Hodor is one of the most interesting characters in high fantasy literary history. The climax of his story arc is epic. Definitely one of the best episodes of GoT.

The Night King(leader of the white walkers) was recasted so his appearance looks different.

Usually have lots to point out but this time, no words. Too many possible spoilers so will just let the ending speak for itself.

Now we know why the Night King came into being. Until this episode I didn't realize the gentle giant's importance to the story, and neither did Bran.

You're lucky you can watch it now! I have to drive 300 kilometers home now. At least we have the Autobahn, so it won't take that long.
Enjoy!

I just dropped everything I was carrying and rushed upstairs to watch, thank you apple watch for keeping me in the loop!
I am lucky I live alone, no family to tie up and gag so they don't bother me.
EDIT:
Yes, this is (at least that is my take on it, I am sure people who read the books might have a better take on it) in my opinion why Bran has a special connection with Hodor and only him. Bran's presence in the past linked Willis (Hodor) to his future and linked him to that moment and Bran.
Also very well spotted in your analysis. Yes it is indeed as if his entire life was shaped and crafted to serve a single purpose. For Hodor that was getting Bran to the Raven and holding the door.
What might not be as clear is that this is true not just for Hodor but in fact for many (if not all) characters. They all have a part to play in the events to come and things happen to mold them for their role.
