2024-12-08 02:50:20 +0000 UTC1. Roose Bolton, Ramsey's father, wasn't a king. Roose was made the Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North by Tywin Lannister for betraying Robb Stark. 2. As much I hated Ser Alliser Thorne, I respected him. He stuck to his convictions (even though they were wrong) and died for them. You are right that he is failing to see the big picture that the White Walkers are coming. 3. Lena Headey was awesome as Cersei and doesn't get enough credit for portraying a character that we just love to hate. 4. The children, the little birds, are the network of Varys's spies. Now they are Cersei's spies. Very excited for the next episode. Please post it quickly!

2024-12-07 01:55:37 +0000 UTCAs for your question about the kids, they were the spies and little helpers of Lord Varys. Not dissimilar from the Baker Street Irregulars in three of the Sherlock Holmes books (well 2 novels and 1 short). Holmes too used a gang of street urchins as gatherers of intelligence and to perform small tasks. The idea being that nobody pays kids, let alone street kids, much attention so they are excellent in that role. Now that Varys is out of the picture, they clearly have taken up with the new spymaster (Cercei named Qyburn the new master of whispers). The fact that they work for rewards like candy or other little handouts is a bonus. Although if I read between the lines of that short exchange Qyburn (the doctor) had with the little boy, I suspect he and his mother were victims of an abusive father (the boy looked bruised and Qyburn inquired if his mother's jaw was healing). I also suspect Qyburn made the father disappear from the looks it.
