Next Patreon Pick Discussion

Havits Here,

It's that time again to discuss and drop your suggestion for the next Patreon Pick Poll. Stef will be watching the last film from the previous poll (Kingdom of Heaven) this week.

Films that missed the cut on the last poll:

Heat

Parasite

Million Dollar Baby

Master and Commander

All 4 of these films will get another chance in the next poll, let's add 4 more films to the poll. In order to make this as easy as possible, please comment the films you suggest, and if you support the films suggested by someone hit a like, and leave a comment under their comment about which ones you'd like to see. Or feel free to have any discussion about the films. I will personally be reading through all the comments and tallying up which films get suggested the most based on engagement.

I'll also be dropping some of my personal suggestions and you can let me know what you think. Also feel free to bring the discussion to discord, we are going to be working on some changes going forward to make our discord community more active, stay tuned for that.

In the meantime, let's discuss.

It makes no sense whatsoever, but it is just such a great and extremely entertaining movie.

Nathan Towne

Yeah, it is definitely important that she see Schindler’s List at some point. She really should see The Pianist, as well. They are just two of the greatest films ever made and are both just incredible.

The Planet of the Apes trilogy really would be something for Stef to get engaged with, I think; maybe even starting by contrasting the modern versions with the original 1968 film?

Gary Slator

American History X, was looking for if someone would recommend

Manos

American history X Hook Avatar Love actually ( great for Christmas mood)

Manos

Equilibrium (one of my all time favorites) Starship Troopers (Who doesn't like a bit of Paul Verhoeven) Godzilla (multiple versions of this, multiple interpretations also... Might be fun to do those movies for the sake of comparing them) King Kong (also multiple versions and some that intersect with Godzilla) Hunger Games (a must have for Stef)

Hans Engelen

American Graffiti 1973. From director George Lucas 4 years before Star Wars. With young Harrison Ford, Richard Dreyfus and Ron Howard. A very good coming of age film.

Uncle Phoenix

I'll bump Man on Fire. Awesome movie!

David Collins

Maybe not for the channel but for personal viewing for random movie quiz points an 80's movie music heavy movie named "Streets of Fire" marketed as a "Rock & Roll Fable" with a YOUNG...Willem Dafoe.🙏👴🏾🤔😆👍🏾🤣

K Dub

True but I would also like to see the CLASSIC(70's)... Sgt Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band featuring Beatles music sung by the Bee Gees with a ton of special appearances from Earth Wind & Fire and others including a YOUNG Steve Martin. It's older👴🏾 classic status probably won't even get it a place on the poll.🤔😆🙏🤣

Hoping Heat wins this time around! Beyond that Im gonna suggest Fight Club Lost in Translation Memento No Country For Old Men I think the plot of Memento and Fight Club would be fun for Stef, Lost in Translation could be a nice change of pace from the usual movies and No Country For Old Men is a modern classic everyone should see at least once. Also Memento crosses another film off Nolan's filmography for Stef.

I'm here for ALL of Jordan Peele's work not just "Get Out" which is a BANG🤯 for his first film, Peele who is an obvious fan and student of Hitchcock films.🎞 A surprising talent behind the camera. 🎬So yes! Please🙏 include his other films especially "Nope"🎯 None of his films have missed for me imo.👍🏾👏🏾
