Heartbreaking season finale. I really wanted to fast-forward and watch your reaction to the ending but this time I was patient and decided watched along. 1. That guy who killed Prince Oberyn and carried Cersei at the end of the episode is the Mountain. His name is Gregor Clegane and he is Sandor's (better known as the Hound) brother. 2. Well, in the end Stannis got what he deserved. Listened to a lot of bad advice, ignored good ones and tried to take many shortcuts to victory. Good riddance. Good for Brienne but she missed Sansa's signal! 3. Bye bye Reek, Theon is back! 4. Heartbreak one: Myrcella dying in Jamies arms 5. The actress of Cersei, Lena Heady, had a body double during her walk of shame. Her face was digitally edited in for all the non close-up shots. 6. Did you notice Melisandre's expression when she heard the army deserted Stannis? She reallized at that point that the Lord of Light did not chose Stannis. That's why she was so disappointed and sad when she entered Winterfell. Yes, so she misinterpreted the visions in the fire. 7. Heartbreak two: watching Jon get stabbed to death with Olly having the last blow. We were all shocked and speechless when it first happened. Looking forward to season 6 with you!

I think the main point of this episode, and the build up of this season, is that some choices can have consequences. Everyone can react to what someone does a different way, or the way a decision is made that you think is good, could be bad for others. - Cersei arming the Faith leads to her being investigated and resulting in her walk of shame and an upcoming trial. - Stannis believes the Red Woman and burns people alive, including his daughter. Half his force abandons him and they are all slaughtered. Stannis making the choice to kill his brother leads to Brienne eventually making the killing blow. - Daenerys trying to change/fix a city so much that the Harpies rise up and nearly kill her. Now she is lost in the wild and found by a people who abandoned her when Khal Drogo died. - Past Lannister decisions by Tywin to kill the Martells during the uprising, slowly led to Oberyn and then Myrcella's death. - Jon's choices with the Wildlings leads to mutiny of the watch, and his death. - Arya not following the program and killing Meryn Trant, leads to her currently being blind. Jaqin described it as being poisoned for using the masks when she is 'someone' and not 'no one'. I'm sure there are many more. Choices can impact not only those around you, but the larger world as a whole (especially when power is involved).

Those were Dothraki that surrounded Daenerys but we don't know if they had any allegiance to Khal Drogo, her beloved late husband.

The Red Woman got suckered just like she suckered Stannis. If the Lord of Light really can see the future, he didn't share it with her. She set things into motion with her shadow baby that eventually led to Stannis' execution. House Baratheon, other than various bastards roaming the countryside, is done.

Jon Snow, your watch has ended.

As you said in the last episode, this show can be very scary sometimes because of its unpredictability, and here it proves it again. Even after multiple rewatches over the years, it is still shocking... Jon was one of my favorite characters. Thank you for this amazing journey so far and see you in the next season.

I'm sure the end of this reaction goes totally fine... 🥲 excited to revisit the finale that got me into GoT in the first place. Thanks Stef!

Feeling kind of spoiled, a stream today and a GoT drop?
