I haven't seen this show since it first aired, and the amount of sex scenes or scenes involving female nudity per episode so far really is just beyond ridiculous. They add noting of worth 99% of the time. I guess they were leaning into the whole "GOT is raunchy" hype when it first aired, but now it just comes across as lazy writing. Like they couldn't think of anything better to with a scene than to add a naked young woman to it.
I've read the books, and while there is quite a bit of sex in them, it is much more interspersed than in the shows. Not to mention all the talk of rape every other scene. There's a difference between showing the hardships of women living in this world and reveling in it. The books mostly know how to walk that line, the show really doesn't.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know you're not the only one annoyed by that. Great reaction as usual!

That's interesting. In the German dub she's still named Asha.

Do wanna point out this episode has my favorite character and least favorite character in it. I will let you guess who they are... Bonus points if you get it right.

Don't worry, the specific reason/purpose why Mellisandre did that with Stannis, the show will reveal in the coming episodes. :)

Pretty straightforward episode.
We get to meet some more new characters like Theon's family, and begin to learn some of the names of those in Stannis's group.
Tyrion begins to get his footing in the capital and learns Joffrey is the one who sent the order to kill Robert's bastards.
Fun little fact....
In the books, Theon's sister is named "Asha" instead of "Yara". They changed it on the show because it was too similar sounding to Osha (the wildling who was captured in Season 1 and helps Hodor with Bran).
