You MUST be getting hooked Steff - you're starting to hum the theme tune when you hear it, just like all the rest of us did, just the same! As others have already said, in a medieval world such as this, where tradition, duty and honour can't be instilled in people first, then the rich & powerful can "over-rule" those laws, in the name of ambition and power.

So on patreon I can't hear what you're hearing? Or see what you're seeing....? I'm confused here because I want to see the full reaction and know what's going on while I'm watching the reaction. I'm brand new to patreon and you were my first subscription no offense but it might be my last, on YouTube I at least know what's going on for the most part it's just half of the video or more is cut out

Just wait till the young wolf comes. You’re gonna like him

Ep 3 and 4 explain Jora and his father...and saying why Sir Alliser hates him.... yeah I guess I ruined the whole show... you're right.

- We've now met Tywin Lannister. He likely has been pulling a lot of strings behind the scenes thanks to his gold. And he's able to since the Crown owes him so much. He's very fierce in regards to his family determination. He's ready to go to war over the "lowest tier" Lannister getting taken by Catelyn. - While the scene was ridiculous, the brothel story with Littlefinger further hints at his love for Cat, whom he's been "waiting for" for years. So of course he's going to betray Ned when the situation calls for it. He probably thinks Cat will run to his arms to try to save Ned. - Note that Varys was the one who wondered "who gave the King the wine". Ned already suspects that Jon Arryn was poisoned by the Lannisters, and Robert's squire/cupbearer was in fact Lancel Lannister. There is a strong possibility the boar got him due to dulled senses. - Ser Jorah got his pardon. He's always wanted to go home, but...he now seems to have some sort of feelings for Khaleesi, even Viserys saw it before he died. So Jorah made his choice to save her from the poisoner, maybe at risk of his pardon if word gets to the right ears? - We heard that Renly fled the capitol. Remember a couple episodes ago, The Knight of the Flowers (Ser Loras Tyrell) thinks Renly should be king. - Stannis is briefly mentioned again, we've not met him but he's Robert's other brother, and is described as a commander and good soldier, but not a good king. - It sounds like a lot of people will want the throne at this point...Joffrey sitting on it or not.

Are there not YouTube cutdowns on her Patreon? Like early access to the YouTube releases? I thought that came with third tier 😂

Why is there a 3 minute scene that could basically be described as porn? To draw in shallow viewers. On the plus side that is the longest and most gratuitous sex scene in the whole series, so in a way you've seen the worst of it.

Dude... spoilers.....

"To answer your "why" question of Little Finger in the brothel with the 2 girls.”; here is my take. LF is explaining how he plays the Game Of Thrones. Lord Baelish views the games of politics and power as a Puppet Show that the Nobility “Put On” for the common folk. The public “Pay” for the show, and therefore know that it is a show; so it is up to the “Puppets” to make the public forget that they are just watching a show. It’s all just a Disgusting Play of Follies that has all the “Chivalry, Morality, Romance, and TRUTH” of a whore house.

Uncle Phoenix

It's normal to hate Cersei and Littlefinger (Lord Baelish) and a few others...that's what their annoying ass characters be doin...they want to push the line of how savage it can be to take the throne... but the others are fun to look forward too.. also side note... the guy that hates Jon Snow at the Knight's Watch... he hates Jon because Ned Stark beat him in battle before....Jon being Ned's bastard son means he gets hate from him........... and the old guy with the white hair thats grooming Jon is (Jeor Mormont) ... he is the father of (Jorah Mormont)... the guy that is helping Khaleesi (Daenerys Targaryen).... he broke laws betrayed his family and wasn't allowed back home... couple things I didn't notice my first time watching... they start you off rooting for the most humble and honorable Ned Stark family, surrounded by crazy families that want the throne... then we go from there..

You said early in the episode you thought the wildling girl who was talking to Greyjoy looked familiar. She is the actress who played tonks in the Harry Potter movies so you may be recognizing her from that maybe.

Calbert

That actually sounds like an awesome idea thanks

Even though I have 2 screens on my computer I typically just sync the video then resize the player to fit in the lower left where the blurred video is.

To answer your "why" question of Little Finger in the brothel with the 2 girls. It's showing the side of him where the only thing he cares about is making money and gaining reputation. It shows that his drive isn't like the typical man of the story looking for personal gratification of the flesh. His owning of the brothel is one way to gain clout and wealth. As far as his betrayal of Ned goes... LF said it himself, he wants everything. He doesn't have the physical skill to be on the top so he hedges his bets on whomever he thinks will be in power and then tries to gain favor with that person no matter the means. As for Cersei... that *&%$#... her sense of entitlement and/or superiority because of her family being the wealthiest of the 7 kingdoms makes her believe that the whole world is beneath her. Recall how her father was talking with Jamie at the encampment. The family name and power are everything. Jamie seems to want to have acted honorably when confronting Ned but his father put him down for it. Side note: You are adorable when you try to avoid cursing. Just let it out. You can bleep it for Youtube. ;)

A Song of Ice and Fire super fan here. First off, “How do they make it look so real?” About that…it is real lol. Charles Dance (the actor on screen speaking to Jaime in that first scene) is actually skinning a real deer. As for the ending, I’ve noticed many people have trouble with how Cersei is allowed to get away with what she does. Basically, like Hans has said above, laws mean nothing if the people with power aren’t enforcing them. We take for granted in modern societies how few people are willing to break the law, but in Feudal societies, it was very easy for law and order to break down. It’s one of the big themes of this work of fiction. If you don’t do what the people above you want, it can cost you your life, and sometimes the cost is even higher than that. And, of course, commoners live so poorly that bribery was much more effective back then

They get posted to YouTube just later.

Out of curiosity, do you post the edited GoT reactions? I love watching your videos but I’m always on the move so sitting down and watching an entire episode on a separate screen gets difficult for me sometimes and I’m too impatient to wait for them to be released on YouTube lol

Oscar Martinez

Btw, not sure if it was mentioned but the intro changes every time and shows on the animated map what locations we will see in this episode. Clever idea because it shows us a little bit where all these locations are while telling us more or less which characters we will see. As to the Lannisters, the problem here is that laws don't really mean much in a society if you do not have a way to enforce them. This is why Cersei and the Lannisters can get away with ignoring tradition, laws etc. Ned in that regard, is a bit flawed. He has tried to live by a code of honor for so long that he has lost sight of this fact. He expects others to be guided by honor too when really ... all of them are playing the ' Game of Thrones ' where honor means little.
