The Device Part 4

The prompt I wrote myself for how to create this scene was: "The vat half empty, the Adie half full." I think I captured that pretty well here.

When the liquid hit Adie's mouth she moaned a little. It was delicious. Whatever John had been cooking up to make this happen, she was into it. She opened up her throat as John instructed and the liquid began to fill her stomach. After only a few seconds she was at the point where most normal humans would consider themselves "beyond stuffed." Adie, however, is not a normal human, and it was a full minute before she started to get worried that she might be close to her limit. She kept chugging, blocking the tube with her tongue and catching a very deep breath every 10-15 seconds so that she didn't drown. John watched with amazement. He knew she'd be able to take the whole vat, but he didn't think she'd be going this quickly.
