The Clinton Mission Shelter is where Daredevil’s mom worked as a nun. Fogwell’s Gym is the gym that Daredevil’s father attended. Josie’s Bar is a bar that Matt Murdock frequents, located close to the Law Office of Nelson and Murdock, which is also present in the game as an unmarked secret landmark. Alias Investigations is the office of Jessica Jones, a street-level hero within New York. It's a really unique idea to introduce Norman as someone who has yet to become the Green Goblin. So we have a 23-year-old Peter, active as Spider-Man for eight years since he was 15, and he's never faced the Green Goblin, one of his most iconic villains. For context Goblin first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #14 (1964) just two years after Spider-Man's introduction. Norman being the mayor is a unique idea. While he has been involved in politics in the comics, he has never actually run for office. His most notable political move was becoming the director of H.A.M.M.E.R., the organization that replaced S.H.I.E.L.D. during the Dark Reign (2008–2010) event. This happened after Norman led the defense of Earth against an alien invasion, manipulating the situation using the news to make it appear as though the Avengers (most notably Iron Man) were fleeing the battle. This turned public opinion against the Avengers, allowing Norman to rise to power and become director of S.H.I.E.L.D. He then donned the Iron Patriot suit, which, if you recall from Iron Man 3 (2013), was the same suit James Rhodes wore, an America-themed Iron Man suit in red, white, and blue. That film actually inspired the comics to make James Rhodes the Iron Patriot after Norman Osborn. Marvel simply couldn't use Norman Osborn in the MCU because Sony owned the rights to Spider-Man, so Rhodes became Iron Patriot instead, which still worked really well.
