1000+ Votes Decided, FACTORIO Is My First Series Here!
Added 2023-01-06 05:00:02 +0000 UTCFactorio Ep. 1 is underway, only Ep. 1 will be available on YouTube! There are still four exclusive videos to come this month, and they will continue my Factorio journey.
I've selected a date for both Factorio Ep. 2 AND the celebration livestream: January 7th. Mark your calendars, it should be a fun one! It'll likely be a 4-5 hour stream, playing some casual games, and chatting with everyone.

2023-01-09 06:34:01 +0000 UTCYou got me to sign up with Patreon after watching you for months on YouTube. Looking forward to the second episode! Not sure how Patreon videos work, but I guess we'll find out. P.S. press Alt! :-)

2023-01-07 17:02:35 +0000 UTCI was thinking for quite a time about subscribing to patreon, especially considering it is my first time doing it. Nevertheless, firstly Iβm happy to support such talented creator as You and secondly, during the last week I was watching lots of Factorio videos, so after seeing one released from You, I took it as a βsignβ of sorts to subscribe. In short - continue the great work.

2023-01-06 22:35:53 +0000 UTCSeeing someone play the game and not know these things was actually surprisingly refreshing, so I'm cool with Tyler not knowing this stuff. (except for alt to show recipe icons. That's something (IMO) would be the one and only tip to give to new players.)

2023-01-06 21:05:23 +0000 UTCI playied this game A LOT and part of the game is to figure stuff out on your own. So I only want to give you some minor general tips to not ruin your experience. 1) Inserters can insert between buildings 2) If a building has a yellow arrow it can directly feed into other buildings (mining drill) 3) With ALT you can switch to a better overview mode 4) You may want to click on inserters/spliters/etc. to get additional controll ...those are just some small useful tips and I don't think they ruin your gameplay :)

2023-01-06 17:07:18 +0000 UTCProblem with links any of us could just share them to other people. Then itβs not exclusive. No shot we are trustworthy enough

2023-01-06 15:56:10 +0000 UTCWill the videos continue to be links to yt just with the videos being unlisted or will they be on here from now. I much rather the way yt does the whole video thing and would rather it continue to be links to unlisted yt videos

2023-01-06 14:47:36 +0000 UTCquick note: adding the "ep1" tage creates a new tag to sort posts buy. Dunno if that was intended (so you have your playlist of playlists essentially), just fyi (so you dont do an "ep2 tag thats kinda wierd"). Great Video! saw this was gonna be an exclusive and you got me in here, great idea showing the first episode on yt for everyone!

2023-01-06 06:40:11 +0000 UTCAs a factorio veteran (I have over 1000 hours in the game and have played since its alpha days), I have a lot of things I can say, but part of the joy of the game is figuring it all out yourself so I won't give any tips. That being said, the one thing I will say is please push the `alt` button so that recipe icons show up. It makes everything a lot more understandable at a glance. Have fun with the game, and thanks for the video!

2023-01-06 05:58:24 +0000 UTCExactly my thoughts. I have played this game for thousands of hours and I want to see him discover the game for the first time, like I would like to do again. If he just played by stuff he read online it wold be boring. That being said the ingame Tips and Tricks in the bottom left are great and I hope Tyler takes the time to look through them

2023-01-06 05:58:18 +0000 UTCI have been blind so far, and I intend to keep it that way! It could result in some pain, but that's the price I'm willing to pay.

2023-01-06 05:55:57 +0000 UTCThe one advice Iβd say would be checkout some of the QOL mods. For example research queue. By default thereβs a setting when creating a world to allow research queue but itβs easy to miss, so a mod can help enable it. It makes life a lot easier. Second advice is just AUTOMATE EVERYTHING. I think those pieces of advice help the spaghetti grow efficiently
Logan
2023-01-06 05:37:26 +0000 UTCHey Tyler, I have only one piece of advice, and I basically became a patron just to post it: DO NOT read too much Factorio advice!!! We seasoned players all know what optimized factories look like and I for one do not want to see more near-optimal gameplay. I want to see someone smart and creative like you build the type of delightful spaghetti that only people with less than 500hrs in the game cam build.

2023-01-06 05:06:36 +0000 UTCIβm going to watch it on YouTube. Just add one extra play count in your head here. π itβs just a little better video player. But donβt mind watching here in the future.
