Lou's Character Model, Finishing Touches to Imogen + More ♡ Creator Diaries
Added 2025-09-04 23:06:14 +0000 UTCThis update is gonna be much shorter. I don't have too much to share or say, but I wanted you guys to see the progress pics! I've finished Imogen's character model for the time being. It's just her base model, so she doesn't have any clothes or accessories on. I got her all rigged too so she's set for posing and animating. I plan on using mocap animations, but that's an entire other thing I have to set up. I'll do a whole separate post on that process once I start it. Anyway! Back to Imogen. So, here she is in all her glory with her frizzy hair.. I still have a few things I want to go in and refine. (Work on weights for dimples, finish working on her skin texture, working on a better hair material, etc.) I think I may darken her skin tone up a bit too. I usually use Blender on my lefthand monitor which is a bit darker and more rich in color than the one I'm using to type this. It has her pulling a bit lighter, so I do want to fix that. Other than that, I'm really proud of how she looks. I think she's adorable.

Now onto Lou. I've started working on his model recently, so it's far from being done just yet. Originally for Lou I had pulled his TS4 model down and sculpted that just to get a feel of how I wanted him to look. It was.. alright. Nothing to go crazy over. This rendition of Lou is meant to look a bit different from our TS4 version. I haven't fully decided on his features, hair color, or hair length. Here's the TS4 model though. Ignore his bald spot lol! It was just a rough test.

I just wanted to try out sharper features for him and darker hair. I wasn't too keen on it, but I do still really like his nose. His original DAZ model looks quite a bit different from this one. I'll show you the base image first and then the current look of his model after sculpting it a bit!
Original base model.
Sculpted Lou model. We've still got a long way to go, but so far he looks great to me! His eyes are a bit dark on the sides from raytracing, so I need to work on fixing that. Other than that he really only needs minor tuning. Spending so much time working on Imogen's model has been a huge help. It was a tedious learning process with her, but it was so worth the effort. I have a lot more confidence in my abilities after that whole fiasco. That's all I have to yap about for now. I'll be adding some more character to their models as time progresses, but so far so good!
