EARLY ACCESS // muscle studies

Added 2024-01-29 10:00:03 +0000 UTC

This month’s challenge for flame members was on studying muscles! We brushed up on our anatomy skills by focusing on muscle structure and capturing the volumes of the human body. Even though I set out to draw super strong and sturdy people, my drawings always end up so... flowy. I guess that’s a part of my style I can’t shake no matter what!

Flame members also get the full process video, plus a resource that talks you through my process and explains my creative choices in making these studies. It also discusses common mistakes and gives some tips! Those will be posted in a minute.

If you want to participate next month, I’ll be posting next month’s challenge on the 1st ~ just like last month’s challenge, it will include:

Tips and suggestions
Reference images
Inspiration images
A list of resources to help you complete the challenge
A bonus challenge for those who want to invest more time

If you want to participate and you’re not yet a flame member, be sure to upgrade your membership to get access to the challenge! New challenges get posted on the 1st of every month. For now, I hope you like these studies ✨
