FAQ [TBR]

Questions about problems in the game:

If I have any problems or bugs, what should I do?

You can contact us on any of our official platforms. Here's a list of sections where your message will be processed faster:

BUT first, make sure you have the latest version of the game - maybe your bug has already been fixed and you just need to reinstall the game. Also, Patreon and Itch do not support sending saves in messages, so if you have any unusual bugs or problems on these platforms, without saves, we will redirect you to Discord where it is possible.

How do I know that this particular version of the game is the latest one?

You can go here and always find out the current version of the game.

How do I know what version of the game I have?

In the game, go to the main menu, then go to EXTRA, then to ABOUT. The version of your game will be written at the top.

Is there anything I need to know before I request a bug report?

Yes, you should know that we have a separate post dedicated to bugs found during community updates with methods to work around them. If there is a critical bug among them, it will be written so and you should wait for the release of the hotfix. If you didn't find your problem in this post, then create a request.

How to make a request correctly?

In order to make a request correctly, you need to:

  • Specify the Operating System you are playing on (Android, Mac or Win/Linux)

  • Specify the version of your game

  • Briefly describe the problem and provide a screenshot or log

  • Attaching a save file to your request is VERY welcome

NOTE that unless the bug is a common one that has already been reported or is clear from the screenshot or log, a save file is required. If you are sending a request from a platform that does not support attaching saves, we will provide a link to the discord where you can send it

How do I send a save?

Let's take a look at all operating systems:

  • Windows - {game_path}/TBR Retransmitter/game/saves/{your_save.save}

  • MAC OS - Users/YourUsername/Library/RenPy/game_name/saves/{your_save.save}

  • Android - Android/data/com.tbr.{current_version}/files/saves/{your_save.save}

How do I know which save to send?

It's very simple, the style of writing saves in Renpy is as follows: {Page}-{Num}. For example, if you have a save on page 1 and on the second place, you would have the following name: 1-2-LT1.save.

How quickly do I receive a response to my request?

It depends. If you have a typical bug to update, the response will be quick. If you have a new or specific bug, you will need to wait. In this case, expect a response within 3-7 days.

Questions about the support of old saves:

Why are there so many problems with old saves?

Most of the bugs and problems do come from old saves. This is because it is more difficult to keep track of old saves than new ones. You also need to always clean up old stuff and add routes. In general, it's also something that needs to be tested well, and when you're a developer, you often overlook things.

How do old saves work on new versions?

Usually, all you have to do is install the game and continue playing. The game will do everything for you.

What should I do if I installed a new version of the game on my android, but it did not replace the old one?

Check if the new version of the game has your saves. If so, you don't need to do anything. If not, you need to drag and drop your saves from the old version:

  • Android/data/com.tbr.{oldversion}/files/saves -> copy the saves

  • Android/data/com.tbr.{newversion}/files/saves -> paste the saves

Which saves you need is described in the paragraph "How do I know which save to send?".

Questions about the game after the end of the story:

Won't my game break after I finish the story?

No, all the routes you haven't completed will be available. And in the next updates, you will automatically receive the last event after which you can continue the story.

If I closed all the routes and only then went to the end of the story, does it count as completing the game?

Yes, it means that you have completed all the available content in the game at the moment.

Questions about the content in the game:

Will there be any GAY-content in the game?

We don't know why, but we get this question from time to time. Therefore, we will answer right away that this is definitely not planned for the TBR project.

Will the game feature characters from the original spin-offs?

We don't plan to, maybe in the form of DLC in the future, but let's at least get the original out of the way :). And then we'll think about it...

Questions about the project:

How quickly do you release updates for the game?

We want to get to the point where we release one major update every 2-3 months, but we still have problems with this. Usually, updates are released with a delay of one month from the announced date.

How long do you plan to develop the game?

This is our first project, which was too ambitious, bloated, and on the verge of failure due to a full-scale invasion. We don't like the fact that the development turned into another long-term construction project, but it was a sign of our lack of experience and understanding of what the game should be. Now the situation is different - we should definitely finish in the second half of the 20s, that's for sure.

What version of the game is fully formed and will be updated only with new content?

Consider update 0.1 to be this version. After that, there will be no more big changes in the game. Only new content will be added. Wait for the roadmap in the near future, it will give you a lot of insight.

Questions about the team:

How many people are in the team?

The team consists of 2 founding members: MobNiroh(artist developer) and SweetDosya(software developer). This is our advantage and curse - we always have to solve issues that are not related to our field. It's interesting, but sometimes it's too much.

Are you going to expand your team?

It would be great, but we don't have the finances to do so at the moment. That's the end of the matter for now.

What are the official resources of the team?

Our official resources at the moment are only 6 platforms - Patreon, Discord, Itch, F95.Zone, Twitter, Reddit. We are personally in charge of these platforms.

Who exactly is answering on the team's official platforms?

Actually, both developers are involved in full. Without taking into account the discord, it won't be clear to the player, but usually, the person who is closest to the issue will answer you. If it's a general question, then it's equally likely to be one of the developers.

P.S. Questions will be updated over time if we forget something or if something new appears...
