This was my favorite animated movie for a long time, until I watched Coco and that was my favorite. But then when I watched The Wild Robot in theaters with my son and we were both crying it instantly became both of our favorite, and still is xo

I remember going to the theater to see this movie with friends, anticipating a fun Pixar movie, and the entire audience was a mess within minutes. And the whole time, you found yourself cackling through tears, which is kind of how grief is. So much laughter, joy, and reflection on happy memories while your heart breaks with missing someone at the exact same time. Insane how well this film accurately recreates that. Genius really.
My Grandpa reminded us grandkids of Mr. Frederickson after our grandmother died. He was the best man I've ever known, and after he passed, it took me a few years to watch this film again. When I did, it was hard, but healing.
Amazing.
