Welcome back to Swiftlessons for another lick of the week. In today's lesson we'll be learning how to combine rhythm and lead elements to perform a classic blues turnaround in the key of E major. This technique will be excellent for developing your sense of rhythm, while also cultivating your hybrid picking technique. Let's get started!

I also had a tough time. I found it helped to just pull harder with the picking finger and to kind of use a 45deg angle for the pick attack (a little more brushy, less twangy)
2022-03-01 09:06:46 +0000 UTCI decided to leave hybrid picking for the future. So for those parts I’m just strumming from the D string down. It’s still an A7 chord. and it has the same feel. BTW, if you like acoustic blues, there is a lesson on the internet about the “land of A7”. Using the same two A7 shapes in this lesson, you can keep playing them all the way up the neck.
