Not exactly, the dominant 7 V chord is sourced from the harmonic minor. But if you look at the I chord, it's flat 7 note is not in the harmonic minor, it's found in the natural minor.

I always find new ways to play with your guitar tutorial. What penta to use here for the solo. Thanks Rob

Hey Jim, thank you so much, thats awesome! Today I worked out a solo for this 8 bar progression, so be on the look out for that follow up lesson. Enjoy your progress!

Thanks so much. I'm feeling like i'm on the launch pad. Your guidance is essential.

Hi Rob - isn’t this progression based on the harmonic minor (not natural minor)?

Great lesson Rob, very easy to follow and enjoyable to play. Hope your enjoying being a father.

Awesome Rob I gotta say your lessons are so clear easy to follow thanks so much

My pleasure Alfreda, yes, I've always preferred that voicing for the V chord, not only because it sounds great, but it allows me to stay in position. Glad you're enjoying this lesson! -Rob

Hey Rob, never realized how 3 chords could sound so kool. I have been practicing different arrangements with only 3 chords, so very happy!! Thx!!!

Thanks! This was awesome! I love seeing that you didn't play the G7 as a full barr chord. This is something I need to practice more.

Hi Rob, To practice soloing over this, which scales would one use? Thanks!
