Hello friends,
welcome back to Swiftlessons for another classic rock guitar soloing lesson. In today's session I've broken down how to play Jimmy Page's iconic guitar solo from the bands 1969 classic "Whole Lotta Love." Let's get started!
Rob. I'm 66 and I've been a plunker and strummer most of my life but in the past 6 months, I've decided to take learning music theory and playing lead seriously. I really enjoy your lessons because instead of just showing what strings to hit, you also explain the theory (scales, etc) involved. Very informative. Thanks to you, I have learned to how to play the the solo for"Santeria", "Amie", "Til there was you", "About a girl" and soon I'll have this one under my belt, not to mention all the blues/gypsy jazz/etc licks and bonus licks you provide and I know I am just scratching the surface. I doubt I will ever shred, but I am having a hell of a lot of fun learning.. Thanks again!

Go for it Steve! I'd say the majority of the solo is pretty easy thanks to it being so memorable and melodic. The only part I found to be tricky was lick #2, I needed to practice that all night before filming the video.
