Fornax - The Antimatter Witch

I also included some extra color tests I did after the final illustration and the reference board I used for the design. I need to figure out a new way to share my PSDs since they're too big for Patreon's 200mb limit - I'll set up a Dropbox or something soon.
This was a super fun piece to work on and I was so inspired by the character that I wrapped it all up in one (long) day haha. I was really captivated by the idea of wielding antimatter as some kind of magic, and did quite a bit of research to dive deeper into the design. Some other thematics came up during the illustration process like the veiny ornaments and cthulhu-like wings which I think add a lot to the cosmic horror aspect. Overall, 11/10 experience and I hope to do similar art collaborations in the future!

As awe-inspiring and fantastic as the finished piece(s) is, it’s this process and behind the scenes view that I appreciate the most. Gives me a good sense of the process and provides me (and others, I’m sure) a confidence boost in my skills improving.
