Post Heat Wave Update

Those of you in North America may have seen the brutal heat wave that came through the Northeast. Unfortunately, I was smack dab in the center of that and it has been quite honestly debilitating. I haven't been able to spend much time at my desk, but thankfully the temperatures have been dropping to something actually livable yesterday and today. So for now, here are some projects I have on hand to share as I try and shake off the rust that has accumulated from my brief week away from art.
Included here are two Vannie doodles, one more fully realized than the other, which I do plan to give a full color treatment when possible. Additionally, spinning my big wheel of characters to draw brought up CrimsonNosturi's own Hotei, the gremlin goddess with an absolute dumptruck. For that, I gave her a little warmup doodle. And finally, a character concept I had considered drawing for a long time, Echo the Experimental Companion and Housekeeping Ordnance. My original idea for her was to be a small little shortstack robot leaning far more into the sharp angular metal designs seen in Mega Man, but here she is as practically the complete opposite; an absolutely massive motherly android that towers over everyone around her.
I pray that the weather continues to improve, because man oh man am I tired of not being able to work at my desk. I apologize for the unforeseen delays and I will update everyone immediately if further delays are expected. With a new week upon us, it will be the perfect time to lock in and really hammer out some big projects. I hope you all look forward to it, and do your best to (safely) enjoy your summer!
