Hi Bliss! :D I wanted to share some interesting details about the show that might clear up a few misconceptions: 1. King Viserys is suffering from a form of leprosy. This was confirmed by the actor himself. Whenever Daemon does something that seems out of character, it's usually because the writers made it up. For example, in the books, Daemon was nowhere near his wife when she died from her horsing accident. There's a writer on the show, Sarah Hess, who has publicly stated she dislikes Daemon and wants the audience to see him as a villain, even though George R.R. Martin wrote him as a complex character. So, Daemon gets villainous scenes that aren't in line with his book character, then reverts back to his original portrayal. 3. There are other changes as well. If something doesn’t make sense or seems off, it’s likely because the writers altered it to sensationalize the story. Martin's original writing made perfect sense, but the show sometimes changes things, leading to characters making improbable trips across the world or doing things publicly they wouldn't be able to get away with. For instance in the books Criston kills Laenor's lover at the tournament after the wedding. It is left vague whether he intendedito or not. He doesn't flat out murder the guy in the middle of the wedding party because like this Laenor would demand he be beheaded and no one could stop it as the King would have to grant his request. 2024-05-28 15:53:19 +0000 UTCFun fact: Margaery & Loras Tyrell are half Hightower from their mother’s side. In my opinion Alicent is the most sympathetic character. She’s forced to marry the King and have his babies. She feels alone. Her only ally during this time is her father who was basically fired in part due to her standing up for Rhaenyra who did lie to her. And Rhaenyra’s lie also cements Otto telling her she cannot trust Rhaenyra because she is a threat to her children. But I can see why yall find her annoying because she is pious. To me that just explains why she just does as she's told. She feels that's her duty as a woman. Whereas Rhaenyra is more of a rebel and isn’t religious.

So they get in this setting and it turns into them being so excited about being together and having fun, it get's a bit chatty. For sure something we are working on and we will try and get better about pausing the episodes when they are talking way too much. - Jammie
