Breaking Bad vs Game of Thrones?

Ok squad, we have 8 episodes left in Breaking Bad and now we're asking the question.. Is Breaking Bad a better overall show than Game of Thrones?  Our producer is still sticking with GOT.  What do you think?

YES! 100% Agree!

I remember telling my friends that Breaking Bad was the best television show of all time. It wasn't until GoT season 4 when I was convinced that Thrones was better (and I don't think anything will ever de-throne GoT). The crazy thing is, Breaking Bad was a show that just kept getting better season after season, but Thrones still clearly surpassed it in my estimation, even with the poor ending from Dave and Dan.

19 to 1! LOL. I agree that BB's ending is by FAR better than GOT. They really failed on all fronts after season 7. BUT - The production, cinematography and characters still put GOT ahead for me. I'm also partial to fantasy and era pieces, so personal preference def plays a part as well. That said - BB is still one of the all time best! Thanks for chiming in everyone!

Even aside from any actual analysis of the writing, acting, and production, BBad has, by far... by FAR... the better ending, and it consistently improved upon itself over time. Every season was better than the last, with consistently higher stakes... and it stuck the landing. GoT is full-on infamous for falling off a cliff when they ran out of book material to adapt. The ending was almost Dexter-level bad, and the only reason I wasn't viscerally mad upon completion of the show is because I had already given up hope. Before the last episode, with all the stuff I'd heard, I literally told myself, "Well, as long as they don't all become lumberjacks like Dexter, all wearing a sea of flannel, I'll be happy". Some people did retreat into the woods with axes, though, so it was a muted victory even by comparison. Contrasting the stupefying GoT final season to the epic BBad final season is ... not even remotely fair.

And by the way you have 10 episodes left, not 8.

Totally understandable for people to have their preferences. However, there isn't a single aspect of the show GOT that's better in quality than Breaking Bad. Writing, acting, cinematography, story-telling, character arcs, etc. Breaking Bad is nearly universally regarded as the best ever. To even add more insult to injury. Breaking Bad is completely original, while GOT is adapted from an existing story written by George R. R. Martin. And the brilliant George said himself "Walter White is a bigger monster than anyone in Westeros". I think that settles the actual debate.
