For last yes and no. First, it didn't bring that much to the table in general, but I do try newer hs2 plugin versions here and there. If you knew you could have better renders/better results by doing something (sometimes) not super time consuming, wouldn't you want to at least try? Sometimes they also fix old bugs, but yeah. There is often a trade-off
