Progress report 25

Welp.

I was debating if I should prolong writing the next report till later, but 2 weeks already passed (+5 days) so no point to it.
Unfortunately, not the best report to bring you. I didn't manage to hit the quota for 2 weeks (307/400 renders, yay for 2 stupid small anims at least). Reason/s are quite simple.

I felt like shit.
Physically too to which I'll get in a moment, but mentally mostly. After few tough days of work at start of June, I started looking at how much work is still left, then I started doubting each new render I did, and that lead to me going more to Discord and other places to calm down. Not depression, just being mentally exhausted. The big "highs" of 40s renders per day suddenly became 25 at best.

I also unfortunately had my hand wrist worn out last week, and as someone who had carpal tunnel, I decided to take 2-3 days fully off my PC otherwise it might've gotten worse. Thankfully, it seems to have recovered, but the way I'm holding the mouse sideways and dragging the wrist on the desk is a bit problematic, so I'm now altering with an lighter mouse when I work, and wear a glove so there is less friction on table.

So yeah, felt worn out in body and mind. One day when all this is done I'll take a proper break, but till then, gotta push through. I did at least do a smart thing in bed, which was focusing on ep4 script and making it presentable for Scooter to proofread. Which he managed to do in record time, we had some good talk about some aspects, and yeah, ep4 script is ready for rendering once I reach it. I'll count that as ~2 days of work, so lets say 14/19 productive days.

I'm getting close to 1 000 renders for Ep3 done. Atm halfway through Raiko kiss part, so few days off till Koko big beach section. Once I'm done with that section, that should be ~half of ep3 done.
Unfortunately, I have a long time ago planned trip at the end of the month, and a wedding as well (not mine VN still in progress 🀣), so due to the pace there most likely won't be sneak peeks this month, instead early next one (one section I don't want to show, so besides that, not enough yet to show).

As always, thanks for the patience with me while I struggle.

Hi Kat, I had a coworker in a past with carpal tunnel syndrome as well and he used some special vertically oriented mouse, which was much easier for him to handle with a condition. It takes some time to get used to(Because it looks more like joystick than a mice) but the results shall be good. I even have another coworker now, which doesn't have the carpal tunnel issue but uses such a mice - He tells its much more convenient for him. Anyway be careful and wish ya good health.
