can't really give a real direct answer to your question here since it would be a spoiler for mapocolops, but what i can say rn is that yorha keeps their mouth pretty shut about machine stuff, everything you asked has an answer tho, but it's deep related to the timeline that he has not seen yet. And yeah, in this game nothing is really clear "Within" the game, but it's explained in Lore from Reincarnation, books, audio files, and even stage plays. you can also search for the timeline in the internet, there is a wiki although it may not have everything youre looking for, have a nice new year.

2026-01-02 20:17:51 +0000 UTCSomething i've never understood about this game... when exactly does the evolution of the machines begin? the Forest kingdom goes back AT LEAST 256years right? so why is it that the first machines we encounter in the desert are struggling to even speak while the ones in the forest kingdom have had a complex-ish society and speak to each other perfectly fine? if an area as big as the forest is being ruled by machines who scream about the king... dont you think that would be something that should have more reports on and that Yorha soldiers should be more informed on their ability to speak? I guess you could say the desert machines split off from the network more recently and are therefore less coherent... but its one of those things i wish the writers were more clear about.
