Firstly, apologies for the long wait since the last update.
Last time I updated you all on this page, I believe I had in fact promised an upcoming release of V0.06.3 😅
The Next Inspired Character voted on by the community (Billie E. 🎵) will also now be coming in V0.07.
I was planning on updating you all with a bigger announcement of Version 0.07 along with a brief preview video showing off some of the exciting new things that are now possible in the game, but due to a number of significant delays during the development of V0.07, I haven't been able to produce such a preview video for you guys just yet. (Some delays are down to some technical issues I've run into, while the more frustrating delays are down to hang-ups around how much free time I've been able to commit to the project 😥)
So rather than waiting any longer till I had the video ready, I decided it was best to at least post some kind of update so you guys still know that both the project and myself are very much still alive and kicking.
As for the delays, they aren't a huge worry, I will continue to work through the technical issues as quickly as I can, and I still do plan on posting a preview video between now and the release of V0.07 - which is now scheduled for next month.
As for my time constraints, I should hopefully have a lot more time to commit to the project in the last week of September into early October (September was really busy for me). So hopefully things will progress at a faster pace from here on out and I can have something to show you guys - and better yet, have V0.07 ready to release hopefully in the early part of October.
Like I said above, I had planned to reveal more details on V0.07 by now, but will need some more time to get things in order before I do that. So expect those details in a dedicated preview post once I am a little more ready to show it off. I won't give an exact date as I'm not good with those, but hopefully it's not too far away now.
Version 0.07 I can reveal is a pretty drastic change to the game from Version 0.06 so I hope you guys can be a little more patient with me on this one. I do think it will be worth it.
Until I share more details soon, I'll leave you with the screenshot I've attached to this post showing a limited physics test build of V0.07 from earlier today, the screenshot doesn't reveal a whole lot but it does show off a custom created character in a new environment.

It also showcases the completely new visuals for V0.07 (everything was recreated from scratch), including new character model assets, textures, HDR scene lighting, new shaders and a totally new art-style that sacrifices the dull bleak and unsaturated lights and colors from the previous releases for a more vibrant and colorful visual style*
*Visuals are of-course still very much a work-in-progress so expect some details to change between now and the release of V0.07.
The idea is to make everything look and feel more alive and engaging to look at.
Aside from the visuals, there will be more interesting things about V0.07 that will also make the characters look and behave more like real people, but more on that in a future post. 😉
