Side note since you mentioned them, Disney/Pixar movies are great, also to say they are only for kids just shows how narrow minded you are, there's plenty of mature themes and even adult jokes in their movies but obviously stuff that kids won't really get. Saying a movie like "Up" for example is just for kids would just make you look stupid. That movie makes grown ass adults cry.

2024-11-14 14:34:37 +0000 UTCBellara's intro is pretty bad. Kind of felt like the quirkiness was sort of being shoved down our throats. The Sera comparison is a good one. What's a shame too is that I think her voice actress is actually crazy good and I don't think that's really evident in a lot of her early lines. But yeah, I started warming up to the characters, including Bellara as soon as we started getting some of their 1 on 1 stuff and the game does indeed get a lot darker.

2024-11-14 03:37:40 +0000 UTCThat is like an hour into the game, you should give it a bit more time. I get the art style is not for everyone, but the game itself gets a lot darker. And quirky characters like Bellara can be cringe, but they usually grow on you with time. Like Sera did for me in DAI. You already payed for it right? So why not give it another shot instead of wasting the money? Just go back in nice and easy, no big expectations or negative judgements, and maybe let the game surprise you? All I can tell you is that I'm a few hours into the game now and I like where the story is going.

I was so afraid coming in to veilguard and I definitely think there are a few complaints that are justified not just from you but me as well. I'm just so glad I finally get to play the next part of the story (and I get to experience with you!) I can't wait to hear your opinions on everything, and I can't wait to see you lose your mind over some of the lore in this game! Had to upgrade my patreon account because I just couldn't wait 😄

2024-11-13 04:19:50 +0000 UTCYeaahhh, Bellara's intro mission and the quipy quirkiness threw me off a lot. I...did not care for it. I'm not going to say that it's the worst of the game, but between some of the dialogue and the fact that I also find it pretty boring over-all, it's not the best intro mission after the opening. I do think it gets better. Kind of seems like it took them a while to build up steam with the story.
