Sorry about the long comment but I really wanted to express how much I enjoyed this blind playthrough. Every time I see someone playing this game for the 1st time, just doing commentary or the times I watched speedruns I remember why it’s still 1 of my favorite Zelda games & why I love MM a lot. It makes me really happy that you were praising this game multiple times while you were playing because it deserves it. You are so right that this game being different & unique/strange is what makes it so special & why people love it so much and I think the dark elements helped it’s popularity because it gave it a uniqueness all it’s own especially the stories surrounding the main 3 masks. And then there’s the iconic Majora’s mask which has a great design & I love how the people working on the game emphasized the creepy & disturbing factor to this thing which works well for this game. It was really fun to see all your reactions to the crazy, strange & awesome things in this game and I continue to appreciate you sharing your thought process on things like the story, puzzles etc. especially at the start of the game when you were still feeling out what was going on with the story & world of Termina. It was very entertaining to hear your theories about mask/character storylines, the story in general as well as your thoughts on the gameplay improvements (I love what the main 3 masks add to the gameplay), the time loop & the dungeons/bosses. I love that you described this game as having a dream like quality to it and this being a different world with different rules could explain why a lot of things that don’t make sense actually do make sense in Termina although a lot of it is 100% just video game logic LOL. I’m glad you enjoyed the mask storylines because so many of them are interesting & while my favorite is the Kafei/Anju quest because it’s the most intricate but I’m a big fan of the Romani stuff because aliens are really unexpected as well as the dark ending if you don’t help her & it’s just 1 example of how much character this game has. Love the ending as well as your final thoughts & I like to believe that even though you can’t complete all the quests in 1 loop I think all the happy endings still happen as soon as Majora is destroyed because of magic or something. I am just as shocked as you that this game exists & while I wish the people making the game were not under a lot of crunch but I am happy it resulted in this amazing game. Selfishly I would want you to continue this game series right way but I’m glad aren’t because it’s best not to rush playing this series I assume for you it’s to pace yourself & for burn out & enjoyment reasons. I would love if you decided to play Link to the Past as your next Zelda game but it would also be awesome if you want to continue your 3D Zelda journey. Also you can expect even more great music as you continue your Zelda journey. Seeing how entertaining your Zelda journey has already been I cannot wait until you start your Metroid one day because it’s my 2nd favorite Nintendo franchise. Finally I love that the Happy Mask Salesman a mysterious minor NPC is given a bigger part in the story & his mystery, creepiness & uncanny valley feeling. This was such an entertaining, enjoyable & awesome playthrough. I am looking forward to what ever game you play when you come back to the world of Zelda. Your channel is amazing. Keep up the great work. :-) <3

The Fierce Deity mask's Helix Sword can shoot out projectiles when you swing it, eliminating any need for arrows. Loved this. If you ever do a 2nd playthrough down the road in your personal time, I recommend the 3DS port. They fixed a few things and changed a few boss fights to make them fun. Looking forward to Twilight Princess!

2024-09-17 20:25:11 +0000 UTCSo good! Congrats! Cannot wait for the next Zelda game. A few lore tidbits for you. You've alluded to Link being in a dream or parallel dimension in this game. Well according to the Hyrule Historia, Hyrule Encyclopedia, and the developers...you're right! Termina is a parallel dimension Link stumbles into in the lost woods on his search for Navi. Thus why there's some similarities between Hyrule and Termina. Also the Deku Butlers son was killed by Skull Kid/Majoras Mask to make the deku mask Skull Kid curses you with in the beginning of the game. The Deku Scrub shell left behind by the Elegy of Emptiness is how the Deku Butlers son looked like.

I'd love either Wind Waker or Twilight Princess to be next but if you want to play 2D Zeldas that would be great too. I personally like Minish Cap more than A Link to the Past but either one of them is nice. I just think Minish Cap has a better story.
