2024-09-16 22:55:51 +0000 UTCI think you misinterpreted that journal update about Orpheus; “He seems to be a challenger to the Queen Vlaakith *and* the son of gith, the one who freed the githyanki from the mind flayers.” Its worded weirdly but its saying Orpheus is the one that freed the gith not vlaakith. In fact I think it’s a typo in the game itself; it should say “He seems to be a challenger to the Queen Vlaakith; the son of Gith, the one who freed the githyanki from the mind flayers.” Actually looking up the DnD lore there’s another layer of confusion in that there’s a legendary figure NAMED Gith, who is the one that freed THE Gith, so my previous statement about it being Orpheus that freed the Gith is wrong too lol
