Nif (Monsters At The Gate)

By JunkkFactory

Nif

She is the main antagonist of "Monsters at the Gate" and the goddess of the end times. Her main goal is to eradicate humanity in the slowest and most painful way possible. She has some control over time and tends to be a rather "unstable" goddess.

Personal Information

Full Name: Nif

Epithet: Manic Goddess, Crazy Nif, Egyptian Supermodel, Goldy, Mom (by Somnus)

Age: Over 3000 (appears to be 25)

Gender: Female

Restricted Access Information

Race: Goddess

Classification: Goddess of Time

Abilities

Magic: Ability to control time

Appearance.

Despite having lived for over 3,000 years, Nif possesses a slender and refined figure that surpasses any mortal beauty. She has clean, brown skin with two tattoos on her stomach and one of her thighs, long blue hair, and a face adorned with black markings and tiny purple jewels that further highlight her royalty. Finally, her presence is rendered as menacing as it is beautiful by her orange-gold eyes.

Her clothing is quite revealing, but not to the point of complete exhibitionism. Her body is bandaged, almost giving the appearance of a mummy, but mainly highlighted by her neck, which is accompanied by a torn white cloth scarf, and by an equally long, torn white cloth protruding from her waist.

Being a goddess and boasting about it, her body is adorned with precious jewels, especially the most prominent ones that rest on either side of her head, giving the appearance of horns with four diamond inlays on each side. Also, large gold bars adorn her hair, right down to its tips. The two long strands in front are adorned with two smaller bars with two diamonds in them.

She always carries a staff in the shape of an ounce, but more similar to a staff used by shepherds and their flocks, which is also made of pure gold and jewels.

Personality.

Being a goddess, Nif possesses an extremely proud and vain personality. To her, all life has no value unless it pays tribute to her. She can be extremely ruthless and sadistic toward anyone who insults or displeases her in any way, capable of killing them multiple times in the most horrific ways thanks to her ability to control time. All of this can happen with the slightest offense, such as not keeping one's head on the ground when they are in front of her.

Her temper can tend to explode when her plans don't go as she wishes. She is quite prone to falling into frustration, anxiety, and depression, taking a long time to recover from her failures. Even so, Nif possesses great willpower, but lacks the ability to tolerate or accept mistakes, especially her own, making her an extremely self-critical and perfectionist goddess.

Despite her cruelty, Nif is aware that not everyone knows about her existence (especially in the modern world), and only on those occasions can she reveal herself to be a fairly tolerant goddess when in the presence of potential "new followers." She displays a very kind and maternal personality. Only in those moments can Nif forgive serious offenses, such as being ignored or speaking without her consent.

Even with several traits that would make the goddess of time a psychopathic and sadistic being, Nif possesses a rather maternal and protective side toward those who are devoted to her and pay tribute to her. In ancient times, Nif referred to humanity and those loyal to her as her "children." She is quite overprotective and compassionate, genuinely caring for them, a side of her that was always reserved for her followers. While those who denied her love, with monstrous coldness and pleasure, she could unleash the most horrendous of destinies.

History.

In the early days of humanity, Nif was known as the goddess of the world and the one in charge of overseeing its development. Over the years, she adopted different cultural positions, becoming known and worshipped throughout humanity. She did not only focus on one place, but always traveled, learning different customs and connecting with all human tribes. She was called by different names, and was loved and worshipped throughout the world.

They had a large number of names to refer to her, but Nif was her favorite.

As time passed and humanity evolved rapidly, Nif's travels became increasingly strenuous and exhausting. In every place, town, or continent she traveled, she was always greeted with applause and all kinds of worship, and worshipped as a mother of humanity. But all that changed. In every place Nif frequented, humans began to look down on her with disdain and questioning glances, pointing to her as the culprit for abandoning them, the culprit for allowing the misery of the world to unfold. Unable to be everywhere at once, humanity fell into conflict for any reason without its patron goddess. Seeing all the chaos humanity caused itself, Nif realized that she couldn't fully care for humans, and that, in the end, humanity tried to blame all its ills on the goddess, who couldn't fulfill her role as protector and mother of humanity. Nif slowly began to slide into madness.

With all the pressure and anxiety caused by caring for humanity, Nif was no longer able to think clearly and ended up coming to a horrifying conclusion, given her unstable mind: to reduce the number of humans in the world.

Unleashing a powerful arsenal of beasts and monsters known as GODLAMBS, Nif unleashed chaos and chaos. Unleashing a slaughter among humans, this only fueled his downward spiral into madness, exterminating much of life on Earth. And in such a deranged way, he had managed to bring "peace and balance" to humanity.

But everything changed when, amidst the chaos, humanity found a way to survive and defend itself from the wrath of the maniacal goddess. A small group of humans managed to annihilate and confront the monsters known as GODLAMBS. Humans with supernatural strength and abilities capable of halting Nif's chaos and genocide. These humans were called GODKILLERS. The enemies of God.

Upon being replaced by the GODKILLERS as humanity's new protectors, Nif took this as the final offense to her name and the beginning of her quest to put an end to humanity, for daring to replace it and forget it over the years. She retreated from the world to plan the most painful and brutal way to destroy humanity, starting with eliminating its new protectors.

As the goddess of the end of time, Nif has already set an exact date for humanity's annihilation, but this time, she also has the power of beings to fight and destroy humans, especially the enemies of God. Her own offspring, her CHILDREN.

Powers and Abilities.

Nif possesses all the strengths of a goddess, endurance, and powers beyond understanding. Her greatest strength is time magic, which she can manipulate at will, though these have some restrictions that even she cannot break.

Nif possesses a total of three Clocks, each with unique and devastating abilities. These are the greatest representation of her powers and give her title of goddess its name.

Angel's Clock

A large golden clock that rests atop her dark palace. It is made up of 12 numbers. Its main ability is to summon Nif's children, who are sent to fight for her in the human world.

Doomsday Clock

It resembles a dark clock floating over Nif's shrine. This clock represents the end of humanity, and is perhaps the goddess of time's most powerful weapon. Upon placing a command or order on the clock, it will immediately set a time for the action to be carried out, serving as a countdown to any event. This clock has the ability to automatically destroy a world once the dial reaches zero.

This clock is characterized by its inverted ticking motion, moving from 12 to 1.

Despite possessing such a devastating ability, Nif cannot ask the clock for a specific time to destroy humanity; the clock alone has that power.

Old Broken Clock

Its appearance is that of a clock, damaged and rusted over time, with the appearance of a grotesque mechanical face. Its ability is unknown, even to Nif. It is only known that it completes the trio of clocks, and unlike the others, this one has its hands "bouncing" off a single number in a damaged manner.

This clock has 13 numbers, giving a total of 13 hours.

Trivia.

. As the only goddess of all humanity, Nif possesses vast knowledge of all cultures, arts, cuisines, and languages. But among all her cultures, the Germanic is her favorite, as are her language and food.

. Nif's appearance could link her to ancient Egypt or indicate her place of origin, although its origin is truly unknown. She only wears her clothing for aesthetics and "fashion," and in her own words, "she had a lot of fun in Egypt."

. Nif has a great appreciation for music and human art, with a wide variety of tastes that range from the finest opera and orchestral works to thrash and death metal, the latter being his favorite music.

. Her favorite food is kartoffelpuffer (potato pancakes), a dish of German origin.

. Nif openly hates humans, but appreciates and admires their creative abilities, especially in art, music, gastronomy, and their wardrobe (clothing), having a vast collection of all of them. . Although her most powerful "servants" are called Children of Nif, most are not actually her children. Nif is only the biological mother of three of them.

. Nif has a kind of trauma towards humans; she cannot stand being in front of them, causing her to begin to tremble and sweat, revealing that she suffers from panic attacks. This would be one of the reasons why she cannot go to the human world and kill them all personally. But this feeling is not fear of humans.

. Nif has no tolerance for failure, leading her to "make strange faces" and "crooked smiles" that reveal her frustration.

. Nif is extremely skilled with pinball machines, this being his favorite hobby and also his favorite human game. He has a Kiss pinball machine in his collection.

Comments

This was actually really thought out. You gave a lot more detail to her background how she actually struggled being a goddess and because she wasn't like omnipresent she couldn't handle all the changes to humanity. And I like the fact that she's older than she looks and that she's not actually an Egyptian goddess but just a deity in name who's appeared in other cultures and stuff. That trauma being the reason for her madness really sets her character in stone as an antagonist. This makes me wonder more about the GodLambs and how they view their mother. This is good character Bio can't wait for the next one keep up the good work
