You desire them so much you want to turn into the essence of that feeling. Her word play is so interesting and just downright fun? Even if it doesn't make sense at times, it's clear she loves to play around with words. How they sound, how they're pronounced. Changing words into completely new words sometimes. She's such a refreshing voice in terms of writing and lyricism. This is an album that takes you to such a unique sound space, it teleports you to her island (and I'm not leaving anytime soon).

The album definitely is about finding love, security, and comfort in relationships, romantic and platonic and embracing the weirder sides of yourself. I Believe is actually a song dedicated to her friend Sophie, a really transformative artist and producer who passed back in 2021. Also, this album definitely grows as you listen to it!

Its a ridiculous phrase isn’t it? ‘Desire i want to turn into you’ Who is the you? Is the you desire? Do you want to turn into desire itself? thats a bit of a paradox. DESIRE is like electricity. It’s like the physical force that moves us through the world. Its like the force of our will. But then there’s maybe the YOU that is the subject of your desire [...] This person that you desire, you want to become. And the whistle in Smoke is the same used in bunny is a rider!! + The baby Fx sample used in bunny is a rider is used too in "Dang" the "deluxe" (not) track!! Hope this helped

The way Caroline works with her vocals is polarizing... To answer your question about what the album concept is, there probably isn't one... Caroline wanted to make a really maximalist record, that just feels really busy... She also acknowledged that it's more about how the music us makes feel, and less about what it really means... She herself said that she wanted the songs to feel like if the speakers were turning into statues... I couldn't recommend her first solo album Pang more, so definitely give it a listen! Btw. She also wrote and produced No Angel for Beyoncé!
