AnimeChar WIP1 and Quick Poll (NSFW)

• Okay, as the title says, 2 in 1 post, WIP shots/info and a poll about the project at the end. First is where I'm at with this project.

• I've been modeling the anime character these past few days and I pretty much completed the whole base character model at this point minus some smaller missing details like lower eyelashes, eyebrows, closing the mouth etc. Those will be done more towards the end as I'm finalizing the shape of the head and/or body.

  

  

  

  

• Everything is custom, completely from-scratch modeled including the body mesh. This was really fun to deal with. It's probably more detailed than it needs to be but I used this chance to increase skillset and try out new things. It's definitely a bit more on the realistic side as I wanted to practice anatomy, but it still is overall stylized with very thin ankles/waist and posture.

• It's not something I get to do often (or at all really, this is actually my first from scratch body/char ever) so it was really outside of my comfort zone and kept me very invested in figuring things out. There are of course some changes that need to be made as mentioned, neck needs thinning out especially in the back to make it a bit less realistic and more stylized and some other smaller things, but all in all, it's pretty much there.
  
  POLL PART

• And this neatly brings me to the poll part of the post. One of those smaller things left to potentially do are genitals. I didn't even think about having these originally since there were of course going to be unremovable clothes on top and things were supposed to be simple.

• Buuuut .... I've already basically modeled a fully detailed body past my original intentions so the scope of this has already been expanded. Now I'm thinking since I'm already 90% of the way there, it may be cool for this character to be fully featured and nude and have the clothing be done separately with the possibility of being removable ingame. Who knows, I may use this character as a base and make additional stylized clothing for it in the future and it's more work to redo something than to simply make it right from the start.

• I've also messed around last night with the body mesh and quickly sculpted some as a proof of concept (among other things LOL) and out of curiosity and yeah I'm a bit torn. It wouldn't take that much time to add, but it's superfluous detail that may end up not needed or used in any fashion.

• Luckily though I have you guys and you can make the decision for me. NICE! Since the body of the character is in it's final stages I will move on to the next step which is the modeling the hair/fox ears of the character which will probably end up taking at least 1-2 days. As such, there's basically enough time to have this quick poll while I do that and get your input/feelings on this.

• So yeah, Should I add genitals on the body and make this character fully featured ?

  I'll close this post with images of my quick mess-around body sculpt, I dubbed it "the volleyballs edition", I'm sure you can figure out why hehe.
