It appears that the person who ordered the job was clever about not revealing their identity to the thugs or the thugs didnโt give the person who hired them up. Iโm leaning towards the first one. Mitsu not voicing her theories out loud is interesting. It makes me think that she suspects the ex-girlfriend, but wants to check it out herself before saying it out loud. Maybe to protect Ayaโs feelings? It was a good point Celia made about who could benefit from Mitsu being injured/in the condition she is in. I immediately thought of her going up and down the stairs with her co-worker which made me laugh. But it isnโt a bad avenue of thought, she had been more active in the office. However, they both agreed that it wasnโt connected to the case. So that thread still has me thinking ๐ค. Lastly, I was wondering how long it would take Mitsu to get out of serious mode and back into flirting mode. ๐ I can just see her suggesting as a joke that the safest place to be would be at Celiaโs apartment, but then getting flustered/shocked when Celia agrees. Only a small chance of that happening as I think her returning home to Aya might reveal more and give Mitsu time to investigate on her own. Sorry to leave such a long message, I just LOVE mysteries. Thank you for the chapter, such a good story!
