It made their eggshells weaker, and the chicks wouldn’t survive to hatching. I hadn’t ever heard of the lead bullet issue. That’s so sad. For those curious, lead bullets were banned in 1991.

My hometown in illinois is very very small, and we started out as a coal mining town. That end where you talked about how the coal industry and how hard it was and how the factory boom and subsequent retreat of that industry really left a hole in my area and the rust belt in general. The poverty in my community is rampant, and I dont really think it's gonna go anywhere but down.
