But I started this one a couple days ago just as a big wave of depression was rolling over me. You guys are great I smiled I snorted I even laughed, and Kayla I think you’re a cool cat, thanks again. It’s not that you “can’t” do it, it’s not matter of trying to control you or take away your autonomy. It’s more about that this is something that has significance and sacred value, like a lot of teachings and stories passed on generationally are. So much of colonialism has shown up as stealing parts and pieces of ones culture, and commodifying it. Or it’s been stolen through residential schools and lost language and culture that directly impacts ones ability to connect to their culture. I hope this makes sense and isn’t taken as a personal attack, I just am genuinely interested in discussing this to maybe help explain. No one knows everything, and having an open mind allows you to learn and find other perspectives. I’m not claiming to be an expert on
