So it appears that Nao did not do anything with Souta’s confession. Awkward doesn’t even cover this situation. To my mind, it is up to Nao to act before Souta can’t handle this this situation anymore; if he doesn’t, he will lose Souta as a friend also.

But Nao's reaction doesn't seem sad or angry (which he would be if he understood Souta's behaviour as a hateful denial), more like, as the title says, "awkward". My theory: as much as he was a bastard to Souta for not being honest or communicative, he sucks too when facing the same dilemma 😆🤦🏻♀️. He goes for the direct type vibes, but in the end Souta's the one Who runs his mouth and talks without thinking and Nao the one who runs his body and takes action without thinking (he was the one who kidnapped Souta in the Ferris wheel, and Souta the one Who admited twice in the same night that he liked Nao without meaning to, and this is the dynamic they've had since the beginning, or so it seems to me). So, what I mean to say is, sooner or later, Nao's going to jump him 🤞🏻🤣🤣 but the only misunderstanding here is our poor Souta not knowing (or not guessing) Nao's feelings.
