She unintentionally broke the hope Souta was beginning to develop, simply by being a girl who likes Nao and seems to have a chance with him. Since we see the story from Souta’s perspective, we also see how he feels about Arashi. He doesn’t hate her, but it hurts him when she’s around. If Nao and Arashi end up dating or another misunderstanding occurs, Keisuke’s prediction of heartbreak is a very real possibility. Since we see Arashi from Souta’s perspective, we see that she barely knows Nao, she is very much thinking of herself, means well, but doesn’t have to work very hard to get attention or to be seen as a girlfriend, where Souta feels he has to work so hard to care for Nao. Unless it turns out there are things we don’t know, we can only see Arashi from one side, really.

She isn’t being inconsiderate, she’s constantly thanking Souta for his help and support with Nao. The reason WHY she isn’t picking up on Souta’s feelings, is because Souta is actively lying and encouraging her, giving her advice and stuff Nao does and doesn’t like. And even though she is a little selfish, that doesn’t make her a horrible vindictive person. Your characterization of her only contributes the constant misogyny in the bl community. She is not a threat to our pair because it is evidently clear the feelings are mutual, you as a fan should know this.

The way she’s acting is unacceptable because Inoue is a girl that has had a crush on Nao for FAR longer than Arashi and Inoue doesn’t act like this. Hope Arashi realizes her behavior and becomes more considerate. Maybe that is the point of this whole amusement park? For Arashi to be around Nao’s friends and take a step back. For her to see Nao hanging out with them, having fun and realizing that she needs to treat his friends better.

She is a mean girl who definitely does things with ill intent or with the intention to get her way no matter what. We learned from Inoua that Arashi blatantly said in their class, that she was claiming/calling dibs on Nao and is going to do whatever it takes to make him hers. That is a bonafide mean girl behavior/attitude. This whole excusing her bad behavior just cause she has a crush is not okay. Souta is full on in love with Nao but he is a decent person who actually cares about Nao and his feelings unlike Arashi who only cares about herself and getting what she wants. Having a crush is no excuse for being a mean selfish rude person. Stop excusing Arashi’s selfish bad behavior just because she has a crush!
