Yesss I agree!! Souta should just to see that there are other people who do feel attracted to the same sex. Right now, he hasn’t seen any of that and I feel like it is affecting his confidence in some way. I want him to see that it is valid to love Nao in that regard even if he might not feel the same way (even though he does/will).

2024-09-27 00:44:41 +0000 UTCoh, that window reflection scene is so well done. poor souta ;_; i've been there man. reiterating what i said last week: hitting hard!!! i'm living for the pain but hough. this boy needs some tender loving care. at least a hug. i hope since nao realized souta was constantly walking behind them that he tries to talk to souta about it - whether he goes after him now or gives souta space. hopefully it doesn't end up in shouting matches like old times, but instead ends up genuine talks like new times (like the sorts of talking they did after nao lost his mom and showed up at souta's place, given i know that was after the shouting/anger, but maybe they can make progress on doing that without yelling first). once again, thank u for the lovely writing and pain, aina!

Its not, they are two japanese highschoolers who live in a conservitive country that frowns upon lgbt couples. Its actaully really commen for gay couples to stay in the closet thier whole lives. Some gay men even take thier sexuallity to thier grave. Its a sad reality that will hopefully change in the future. But just giving you guys context to why they might not be rushing to get together.
