Weekly Update – The plan for Chapter 2.6

Hi everyone,

Chapter 2.5 has been released. I have just uploaded a new patch. The online version should already be updated, and if you play the download version you can find the latest fix in the #public-builds channel on discord. After multiple bug fix passes it seems to be in a fairly stable state, which means I can now set my eyes on the next target: Chapter 2.6.

One of the main goals of the next version improving the amount of images found throughout the game, specifically in the early stages. One of the main complaints from new players is that there are too few lewd renders in the first couple of weeks, especially outside the Flora and Florian ones. I plan to address this by adding the new NPC featured in the image above this post – Lucine. Her main purposes are to offer more sexy time options that are not related directly to player progress and to show up from time to time to let the player know how the average citizen′s life is affected by the player′s decisions.

Another big step I want to take is to finally work on cloud saves – something I’ve been planning for a very long time. It’s quite a complicated topic as I have to work with three different API providers, but what I have got so far looks quite promising. Aside from it being interesting to me personally on a technical level, I think it would also be quite neat to enable players to be able to pick-up and play the game on a variety of devices without having to start multiple new games.

Aside from these two big additions, I will of course be adding some other minor events and further tweaking the game as per usual. Please keep in mind what I said in an earlier post – I’m planning to cut down on release times by releasing additions as I complete them rather than waiting to finish everything. So if, for instance, the cloud save games take longer than I anticipate then they won′t be part of 2.6, but you’ll get an updated playable version much sooner than usual.
