Lan Zhan trying to pour that cup of water all over himself while drunk is probably a reference to a scene in the book, where, after they get back to their room that night, drunk Lan Zhan decides he wants to take a bath (and he wants Wei Ying to help wash him). And, um... let's just say that things quickly escalate from there lol ๐๐ซข But, of course, as all romantic aspects of the story, unfortunately, their hook up also didn't survive censorship........ ๐ฅฒ

Drunk Lan Zhan is just so funny and cute, also for your information, in Chinese culture the groom gifts the bride 2 chicken as part of a wedding gift so Lan Zhan was pretty much proposing to Wei Ying here. I love watching the juniorsโ interactions with Wei Ying, they follow him around like baby ducklings following their mother haha.
