About Futaket
Added 2016-10-12 04:42:11 +0000 UTCI kinda forgot to share how Futaket went down, so I'm gonna take my time to write a little bit about it! Futaket (which was this past Saturday) was a lot of fun. Okati and I went with the intention that weren't going to sell that much, since we were relatively not that popular and I'm relatively unknown and it was also my debut. To our surprise, we sold out in matter of minutes. Not even 15 minutes passed and we were out of prints. I was impressed with the amount of people that came over and even if they didn't get a copy, they hanged out and expressed how much they loved my work, both Japanese and foreign visitors! Because we ran out quickly, me and Okati basically spent the rest of the convention doing sketch commissions, and a lot of people came for those. We weren't really charging for those, so it was a nice way to spend time while talking to each other and meeting fans. Before the event, I went and introduced myself to several artists who's work I admired and those of whom I mutually followed. Some of these included Rebis, Bonten, Amanoja9, Magifuro, Red Rum, among others! I exchanged a few words with them and they shared some words of encouragement and were all around some of the nicest people around. Sadly Uno Makoto wasn't around, but I wasn't expecting to show up. They were selling a wall scroll he made for like 90 bucks, and it was pretty huge, but I wasn't tempted to buy it anyways. I've already completed my collection of his doujins (physical copies), so I'm good on that front. I just wanna also mention that Rebis was so fucking cool, he legitimately did one of the nicest gestures (and he didn't have to) not only to me but to Okati too and also pepped talked us into doing more doujins. I'm so amped to work on making doujins and futanari related projects, and I am already looking forward to my next convention. It was a swell experience all in all and I want to thank all the people that came out to us and supported us! I've never felt more passion for art in my life, I'm eager to get impossibly good and truly be a futa god haha. For those of you who weren't able to catch futaket, I will be selling my doujin through DLsite, Melonbooks and Pixiv's booth, so please look forward to the announcement! That's it for now, thanks for reading on (it was really long I'm sorry), and have a wonderful whatever time you're on!
