Mobile Cam 1.4.4 Performance Fixes and Major Improvements (old passenger pov)

First of all, I would like to apologize for the delay and for the broken state of the previous Mobile Cam version. A significant amount of work was required to make everything function properly again.

Since I had to rework almost everything from the ground up, I decided to address multiple areas at once: UI, physics, new modes, and bug fixes.

Critical Bug Fix

There was a very annoying bug that occurred at high speeds. The camera would start drifting away from the car, and the audio would begin to stutter and cut out. I identified the root cause and fixed it completely. This issue should no longer happen.

UI Overhaul

I decided to fully rework the UI. It was cluttered and contained several dead sliders left over from previous versions. The interface has been completely rewritten.

Descriptions have been improved, new adjustments were added, and new physics methods were introduced. The menu is now larger, but significantly more descriptive and intuitive. You will know exactly what each value is affecting.

Physics Improvements

Overall physics have been slightly improved. A more precise calculation method is now used, which should perform better both visually and in terms of performance.

In an attempt to make the behavior more realistic, I added calculations similar to arm, shoulder, and wrist movement. Depending on G-force, the camera will react differently based on these calculations.

From this, I introduced the idea of a lateral limiter, similar to the rotational limit you experience when wearing a seatbelt and trying to look backward.

New Features Added

Important Recommendations

I strongly recommend importing the MyPreset immediately after launching the app. This prevents old values from being carried over and avoids unexpected or unstable behavior.

Important Usage Tips

When starting the application, cycle through all camera modes and then return to the cockpit camera. This ensures everything initializes correctly, including mirror reflections. Make sure this is properly configured in CSP.

In online mode, only your own car has physics. Other players’ cars do not. As a result, none of the physics-based effects will work on them. This is known as remote cars and cannot be easily bypassed.

If you want physics on another player’s camera, request the replay file from the person whose car you want to place the camera inside.

Another important tip is to always export your preset before making changes. This allows you to easily return to the original values and ensures stability when adjusting settings.

Final Notes

I strongly believe the default values are solid. The menu is now more extensive, but also clearer and more informative. You should have a much better understanding of what you are adjusting at all times.

Thank you very much for the continued support.
