Newsletter: Site Update

Before diving into the details, I want to say that this update was shaped directly by your suggestions. I went through each idea with care, and I hope these changes make the site smoother, clearer and more enjoyable for everyone who follows my work so closely.

Updates:

The first change was removing the comics section from the homepage and replacing it with the new “What’s New” area. This section now highlights comics by their most recent updates, showing how long it’s been since the latest release and, when new pages are added, exactly how many were uploaded. Anything updated within ten days of its release is marked as new, making it easier for you to see what’s fresh the moment you visit the site.

Next, there’s a new section on the site that lists all comics in order of their latest update. For those who have been with me for a long time, it might not feel immediately useful, but I’m currently working on a new front-end and this feature will make a lot more sense in the next stage of the site’s evolution. Think of it as a foundation for what’s coming.

Continuing with improvements to the overall experience, I’ve also updated the way comic downloads behave. Previously, when you requested a download, the status would stay on “pending” unless you refreshed the page. Now the button updates automatically as soon as the download is ready for you, removing that small but annoying extra step.

And finally, the notification system has been improved to support both download-ready alerts and updates about newly added pages. Everything now works together to keep you better informed directly through the site, without needing to check manually.

And now, here’s a small preview of the site’s new look. It’s still a work in progress, so some elements may change as development continues, but this should give you a sense of the direction things are heading.

Looking ahead to next year, the new site will also introduce a few bigger additions.

• A dedicated video section with animations based on my work, starting with AI-assisted pieces while I explore how this format can evolve.

• A shop for anyone who wants to purchase comics and artwork permanently, without depending on Patreon or its payment methods.

• A download option for image-only versions of the comics, without speech balloons, for those who prefer the artwork without any text on top.
