There’s a new trailer out for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms – the new Game of Thrones spinoff show. Alt Schwift X and Glidus did a livestream discussion about it. And we've almost finished a short Alt Shift X video introducing the show – it'll be out in a couple of days. I’m excited to see Dunk and Egg on-screen!

I recently joined Abu and Leo on the Gom Jabbar Podcast to chat about Dune – check it out here. And I’ve been working on four big Dune videos – the real Dune Part Two, Faces of Dune, Fighters of Dune, and Philosophy of Dune. (We commissioned some gorgeous new art for the videos, by Joel Chaim Holtzman). These videos are mostly done, but at one point I got stuck. I hit a wall, and felt the need to work on something different. So I began to read about monkeys...

I wrote an hour-long video essay about Planet of the Apes. At first, I thought it would be a small video – a quick side-project – but I became fascinated by the series, and went deep down the rabbit-hole. I watched all ten Planet of the Apes movies, and read the original Apes novel by Pierre Boulle, and read Boulle’s remarkable World War Two memoir. As with our Frank Herbert video, I found the true life story of the author to be even more interesting than the fiction. So this Apes video discusses the first Apes movie, and the original Apes novel, and the surprising history that inspired it. This video is ambitious, and different to what we've done before – so I’m excited to finish it soon! (It'll be Patron-exclusive for a while). We’re juggling a lot of different projects right now. We’ve never before had so many videos in-progress all at once – it’s driving me a little nuts. Bananas, even. So my aim is to finish the Apes video, then finish some Dune videos, before A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms comes out. We'll cover A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms with weekly videos and livestreams, as usual.
