I look at these pictures and feel a certain warmth in my heart: taken in the usual, familiar corners of my house, that hosted god knows how many of my sets during the years! Seeing these pictures and then thinking about how much has the outside world changed meanwhile, how much I have changed, makes me better understand that this self-portraiture thing creates safe places for me to visit. It's no longer a matter of proving my sensuality, my ability as a photographer, or as a model, my uniqueness or whatever: it's a home for my individuality to express freely, to be boring as much as to be extravagant. A little altar for my definitely scarred ego, yes, but also and especially a way for me to forget the outside and connect with my inner reality. I used to despise the idea of shooting at home, to repeat a set, but today it feels okay. These may not be my best takes, but I felt safe making them. I shall experiment later <3 Enjoy the boring me, and may all your desires be welcomed by the Universe!
