Fuck this month
Added 2022-11-27 18:17:50 +0000 UTCI wait all year long for November to arrive: the month that better embraces the spirit of Autumn, the month in which I was born, on a foggy, humid day, 26 years ago. In Italy, this month starts with the celebration of all saints, but - I think more importantly - of all the dead. A time that brings spirituality and introspection in our year.
This year I didn’t see November come. Too much Sun, too little rain, and yet I’ve spent more than 20 days in sickness. Everyone I know got sick this month 🙈 I didn’t have the time to heal once, that I got another virus straight away - the most in-famous virus of our time ✨ I also have received some ridiculously bad, dramatic news from my family, that I’m far from processing. Oh, all this without mentioning the political catastrophes that are happening worldwide, as well as in my country.
My feelings are cold and foggy and dark, as November should be too, but instead this arrogant Sun keeps on shining, defying the seasonal cycle and disorienting my metabolism.
For the first time in my life. I can’t wait for November to fuck off. Sorry if I sound dramatic, I just feel the seasons a lot, so this global warming is hard to take for me 🥲How do you feel about this period of the year? I’m aware this month has very few fans actually, what’s your favourite? 🍃
