Synopsis: You are an university student and an exchange student from Germany approaches you because he's feeling a bit lost. After a brief conversation you invite him to hang out over at your place ... but for some reason you have trouble concentrating on Shakespeare.

Hi!

I hope everyone's weekend is going well. Originally this was supposed to be an MBottom audio ... but since I'm under the impression that most of you enjoy MTop audios a bit more, I decided to change my initial idea and also give it a different title: So, this is the Erasmus audio that was due yesterday.

I hope you enjoy this audio ... and my very cringy attempt at reading from Othello with a thicccccc German accent. XD

Happy listening! x

Thanks for letting me know! I potentially missed a couple retakes, for some reason I misspoke a lot in this one during recording. About 'while' vs. 'whilst': I've heard both in audios and I tend to go with whilst because it sounds ... more "correct" to me. But since I'm also not a native speaker, I'm not sure either. XD

Hi Nerdy, first off: great work as always. I like the extra ambience with sound effects you use a lot, makes everything feel much more alive! I noticed there were a couple of retakes during this one, that were not removed. If that was on purpose due to the Speaker being German, all good, but otherwise I just wanted to let you know. Lastly - and I might be completely wrong about this - I noticed you use "whilst" here and there, not just in this audio. I am also not a native speaker so this might be wrong, but at least in (american) english audio books, tv shows and so on, everyone is using "while". Yes, that is not grammatically correct per se, but it feels more natural. Whilst sounds a bit pretentious. Here it might even fit due to the Shakespear storyline though, like a little quirk in the exchange students speak pattern. But in general just "while" sounds more natural to me in daily spoken language and especially during Intercourse ;) Maybe others can chime in though in case I am completely wrong.
