Story Content

So, after discussing with some folks on discord, I'm thinking about changing my approach. What I'm thinking is starting right in the middle of the good stuff, less character development, less build up, more like my first few stories on deviantart.

Do you guys want me to go back to that or continue doing what I'm doing?

Rodimus, Mitch, Nick, APerson, Saikuzu, I really appreciate ya'll taking the time to offer such thoughtful comments. It helps me to get a better idea of what ya'll want! Since the race is so close, I think what I'll do is stagger the releases like I've been doing, alternating between a straight to the action story and a more longform story. Sound good?

I think the build up is important because it sets the scene and lays out the stakes, which are not always the same from story to story. However, once in awhile a straight to the action story would be a nice change of pace.

I feel that some build up is good, helps set the scene and stuff. But I won't lie I am all for getting to the good stuff sooner.

I would not mind you trying a story where you start with the good stuff first.

Maybe a little build up but not as much as there is. If 2/3rds of part 1 was build up and then you got some juicy stuff at the end and part 2 was effectively what part 3 is now then I think that'd be a good compromise.

I think that the buildup is important, it just doesn't have the same flavor without it. If it's just straight to the action, it's basically a copy paste with just the names changing each time imo, I really like the time you take to set the mood and the characters mindset 😊 I also get that people might prefer more action/less build up, you can maybe try to reduce it a bit (not a significant part but a bit) and see what it gives? Thanks for your work as always!
