I watched this on Nebula and thought it was a great video! Mental illness sucks, and I totally agree with your sentiment that conditions can often feel cheapened or even trivialized when stories treat them sort of... clinically, using therapy speak and so on. On the other hand, as you pointed out, showing the consequences of mental illnesses as they manifest in different story worlds is usually much more engaging, and encourages the viewer/reader/player to have more empathy for the sufferers. I think this often applies to representation that is somewhat 'problematic,' too (and by 'problematic,' I mean that it doesn't conform to some people's exact experiences and expectations, therefore it's bad 😂 The word has kind of been ruined...).
