Painting contest (Silco)

Hey friends!

It's been a while since our last painting contest, so I think many of you are eager to jump back in. This time, the model for painting will be Silco, which was released just yesterday.

Each contest brings something new, and this time I’ve decided to try a different judging method. Many of you know the artists Parx (Mimic Hobby) and Abril — about a week before release, I sent them the files for printing, and they will start painting the model alongside you. Feel free to check out their pages on social media for inspiration or techniques that might help you win. In the end, they’ll also assist with judging to make it more professional.

Rules for participation:

1. You must have an active Patreon subscription in June and July to enter the contest.

2. You can only use one model for painting — Silco — in the scale that suits your painting confidence.

3. On our Discord server, there is a dedicated forum for this contest (#silco-painting-contest-june-july) where you must create your own post (tag it as wip) and upload at least one WIP photo (this can be a photo of the printed model or a partially painted one). Once your work is complete, upload the final photos to the same post (don’t create a new one) and change the tag from wip to final.

4. A participant who used an incomplete model (for example, with cut-off legs or a trimmed base) is not eligible for prizes.

5. The final post must include at least 5 photos. One of them must be taken in natural lighting (preferably outdoors, or indoors without harsh directional light), and one should be a close-up to highlight small details. This is important for fair evaluation.

6. Deadline: July 25

As mentioned, the judging will be done by our team along with the two guest judges. We will primarily evaluate neatness and the harmony of the color palette used.

Prizes:

1st place — $300 via PayPal
2nd place — $200 via PayPal
3rd place — $100 via PayPal

Also, all participants will be able to choose any of my models after the contest, and I will send it to you.
