This show being Trigger is what makes it more interesting than the sum of its parts for me, as they are sort of being limited compared to their own IP's and so it creates an interesting filter on the world. Also I usually am not a big "gratuitous violence" enjoyer, but the life put into all the violence and the context of how the world is extreme as you guys said, it is the art of the blood splatter. Really Tarantino approach in that kind of way.

2025-07-07 14:33:11 +0000 UTCIf I hadn’t watched this after putting over 100 hours in the game, I probably wouldn’t have liked it. So I definitely recommend people to play the game first, because so much will be lost on you and seem silly or make zero sense, especially the slang. Also makes certain scenes and lines hit way harder, but it’s a great show and shows just how fucked up life is in night city.
