TRIGUN STAMPEDE: EP 5 & 6 Reaction UNCUT!

Is that Woolfwood or are you just happy to see me?

These episodes hit a lot harder than the previous ones for me. Pretty interesting when they put twists on the original anime, and they are doing a lot more with it than I expected. Now I feel like I understand more why they started it off with so much from the original revealed, because they seem to be planning to go way further.

My understanding is that Lagato's last name is Bluesummers, He gets the powers he has because he was "Gifted" Vash's missing arm by Knives.

It's pretty clear to me that Trigun Stampede was made more for nostalgic fans of the 1998 Trigun anime than for a new audience, because in this reboot they're knowingly digging deeper into what the original anime only scratched the surface of, while also getting closer to the original manga's lore. Some characters' personalities differ from version to version, sure, but the story makes more sense here. It's also because the creators decided to focus solely on Vash in the 1998 anime, while this new adaptation fleshes out the rest of the characters more and that's something some of us old fans needed. I really miss the old hilarious goofy Vash, his sly wit and episodic adventures, but I already got that from the old anime and this new anime complements what the old one couldn't give us. I just rewatched episodes 8 and 9 again to understand things better, because they explain really important stuff, and man... the soundtrack in them 🎵🤍... is fantastic.

What I liked about the original series was the western tone but this version is starting to win me over too with the art direction and darker menacing tone.
